Accessories and Spare Parts
Skid Parts and Accessories are offered for all Blue-White Skids. When ordering or contacting customer service for information on these items, please specify whether you are replacing parts on an existing skid or getting accessories for installation separately.
Spare Parts – If you need to replace parts on your existing skid system, we recommend you contact the factory for assistance. Blue-White CFCS Skids have standard components, but a review of skid manufacturing date and component materials will help ensure you receive proper parts for your exact skid build.
Accessories (Provided as part of skid package, or as separate items.)
Pulsation Dampener—Pulsation dampeners are typically recommended for diaphragm pumps to reduce large pulses and help provide smooth chemical delivery. Blue-White offers pulsation dampeners in small (10 cu. in.) and optional larger sizes. Dampeners are CPVC with Viton or EPDM bladders.
Pressure Gauge – Installation a pressure gauge on your chemical feed system will help to accurately determine your system performance and proper maintenance cycle, as well as to ensure you are using the properly rated materials for your process. Pressure gauges also are essential in troubleshooting. Blue-White can provide pressure gauges in 0-30 PSI, 0-100 PSI, and 0-200 PSI sizes. Pressure gauges are often provided with Gauge guards to prevent chemical exposure to the gauge.
Flow Indicator – Blue-White manufactures an Acrylic in-line flow indicator that can be installed in your skid piping to give a visual indication of flow and air bubbles in system piping. The flow indicator includes a ceramic ball as a flow float.
Flow Meter—Blue-White manufactures the MS-6 flow sensor. This ultrasonic flow meter can measure or sense flow and works well with sodium hypochlorite and other common chemicals.
Calibration Column—A Calibration Column can be used as a tool to verify the actual flow rate produced by the chemical feed pump. Calibration columns can measure flow by being filled or drained and then simply noting the difference in capacity over time.
Pressure Relief Valve – Diaphragm and peristaltic pumps are positive displacement pumps and, as such, will continue to build pressure when discharge outlets are clogged, or valves are closed. Providing a pressure relief valve on the discharge side of the pump will prevent damage to the pump and system when there is unexpected pressure in the discharge lines. Pressure relief valves are adjustable and can be set to the desired pressure limit for the system.
Pressure Switch—Adding a pressure switch to your system will give an electronic indication of when the system is over the desired pressure. Pressure switches can help prevent damage to piping systems and pumps and provide valuable feedback in troubleshooting.
Back-Pressure Valve – Back-pressure valves are recommended when using a diaphragm pump to pump against systems with varying pressure or low pressure. The back-pressure valve will give the pump discharge consistent pressure, allowing for accurate and consistent flow rates and pump performance. Back-pressure valves should not be used with peristaltic pumps, as they will only decrease the life span of the peristaltic tubes.
Strainer – Installing a strainer before the pump inlet can protect the pump and other downstream components from clogging or damage.
Check Valve—A check valve is recommended on peristaltic pumps to prevent backflow when a tube leak occurs.
